According to the structure refinement of powder X-ray diffraction, it
is found that, in this work, when x changes from 0.0 to 1.0, the cryst
al lattice in La2-xSrxNiO4 oxides exists cation (La, Sr) and anion O(1
) deficiency. It is agreed with the prediction of the values of temper
ature factor (B). In addition, the content of Ni3+ ion parallels with
the order of catalytic activities for CO oxidation. At x = 0.5 the Joh
n-Tell er distortion of BO6 octahedra appears the maximum value, as wa
s expected from the results of axial ratio c/a.
