Abstract
The effects of structure and adsorbed water on the formation of gaseou s products of the radiolysis of polysaccharides were studied. It was f ound that the mechanism of product formation was uniform, and the frac tional yields are determined by the amount of adsorbed water, the way in which it is distributed in the volume of the sample, and the ratio of free to bound water.
