Abstract
The dynamical structure factor for the s-f model with an applied magne tic field is investigated using a Green function technique. The peak b roadening is remarkable in a low field whereas in a high field the pea k broadening mechanism is almost suppressed. This is in agreement with the experimental data for the europium chalcogenides EuS and EuSe.
