ON THE REDUCED-ORDER CAUSAL OBSERVER FOR GENERALIZED CONTROL-SYSTEMS

This paper considers the problem of a causal state observer for a squa re singular system. Necessary and sufficient conditions for solvabilit y of the problem have been established. The approach of this study lea ds to a new insight concerning synthesis of a causal observer, and est ablishes new results with regard to the structure and the dimension of a reduced-order observer for singular systems.
