Abstract
A numerical solution method was proposed for transient ionic transport problems in polyionic electrochemical systems. Essentially, it involv es the alternating use of the electroneutrality condition and the Pois son equation when calculating the electrical potential, so that the ov erall volume of the computations can be reduced and at the same time e lectroneutrality can be maintained in the region being calculated.
