Abstract
Autoionizing resonances in the compound system of an electron and a he lium ion are observed in kinematically complete ionization experiments for electrons on helium atoms. We calculate the differential cross se ction for comparison with these experiments in an equivalent local for m of the distorted-wave impulse approximation. Resonant scattering amp litudes are calculated by a six-state momentum-space coupled-channel m ethod.
