Abstract
Changes in total lipid, glycolipid and phospholipid contents during th e period of 15 d after germination, were investigated in chloroplasts of untreated and pesticide-treated maize seedlings. Simazine spray did not affect chloroplast lipids, but metaxuron treatment resulted in co nsiderable decrease in contents of all the phospholipids and glycolipi ds. Carbaryl induced a decrease in glycolipids, and increase in phosph olipids, except phosphatidyl inositol where there was a slight decreas e. Thiodan induced a decrease in contents of all glycolipids and phosp holipids (except phosphatidyl glycerol). Carbofuran induced an increas e of all the glycolipids and phospholipids, except phosphatidyl inosit ol where there was an about 12 % decrease.
