Abstract
Self-induced pneumoparotitis is a distinct clinical entity which shoul d be considered in any inflammatory swelling of the parotid gland. Whe n complicated by subcutaneous emphysema, other more important causes s hould be excluded. An unusual case is presented, which was further com plicated by the presence of a pleomorphic adenoma.
