Abstract
The finite temperature correction to the electron mass in a quantum el ectrodynamics framework is computed in the high-temperature regime by Matsubara-like sums. As pointed out by other authors, it is confirmed that the leading term is of the type DELTAM is-proportional-to T, cont rary to what one might expect by naive reasonings.
