Abstract
The question was investigated how silicon when introduced into crystal line antimonic acid influences the structural state of the protons and the protonic conductivity. Silicon produces vacancies in the 16d posi tions of the pyrochlore structure of antimonic acid and raises the pro tonic conductivity at elevated humidities of the surrounding atmospher e.
