Abstract
The isolation of five bitter-tasting steroids as minor constituents fr om the Chinese medicinal plant Tacca plantaginea (Taccaceae), taccalon olides G (1), H (2), I (3), J (4), and K (5) is described. Their struc tures were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods.
