Abstract
Pretreatment with ginseng total saponin (GTS) reduced the magnitude of the methamphetamine-induced dopamine (DA), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC), and homovanillinic acid (HVA) depletions. It is suggeste d that GTS can, in part, prevent the methamphetamine-induced striatal dopaminergic depletions.
