Abstract
This paper reports the results of an investigation carried out from Ap ril 1990 to October 1991 in the Amalfitan Coast, Salerno Province (Sou thern Italy). One hundred and twenty-five species are used in traditio nal medicine, belonging to 53 families; some of these were unknown in Italian phytotherapy or present an unknown therapeutic use. For each s pecies, the vernacular name, the formulation and the popular use are p resented.
