M. Gravel et W. Price, DECISION RULES FOR MULTISTAGE SCHEDULING AT AN ASSEMBLY JOB-SHOP, INFOR. Information systems and operational research, 31(2), 1993, pp. 111-124
Usual scheduling rules are not always appropriate in a Kanban assembly
job-shop. We present five new heuristic rules that use an analysis of
assembly network diagram topology to schedule waiting jobs. The produ
ction of a sample of the products of a firm is simulated under differe
nt operation conditions. MCDM techniques allow comparison of rules for
the optimisation of makespan, stock level, and setups.
