Abstract
A new curve-fitting expression is presented for the space wave efficie ncy of rectangular microstrip antennas. It is derived from numerical r esults available in the literature, and is useful for substrates with relative permittivities between 1 and 12.8 and over the complete range of thicknesses which are normally used. The results are in conformity with those reported elsewhere.
