Yv. Barannikova et al., SOME ASPECTS OF RELATIONS BETWEEN BETA-ADRENOCEPTORS AND HUMORAL-FACTORS IN CORONARY HEART-DISEASE, Biologiceskie membrany, 10(2), 1993, pp. 117-125
To assess the humoral regulation of beta-adrenoceptors (beta-AP) in co
ronary heart disease, the lymphocyte receptor number (B(m)) and dissoc
iation constant (K(d), ligand-I-125-cyanopindolol) as well as blood pl
asma levels of epinephrine (E), norepinephrine (NE), cortisol, insulin
(INS) and lipids were studied in 68 subjects aged 25-55. Three groups
of persons were formed by the data of coronaroangiography and 210Tl m
yocardial imaging maximal stress test: without coronary stenosis (cont
rol group, n = 31), lower than 60% stenosis (n = 17) and higher than 6
0% stenosis (n = 20). The results obtained have shown that stenosis of
coronary artheries itself has no effect on the binding parameters of
lymphocyte beta-AP. In contrast, the values of both B(m) and K(d) were
dependent on the body humoral status. This suggests that E regulated
B(m) positively and NE negatively. INS and high density lipoprotein ch
olesterol are possibly related with the K(d) values through the influe
nce on cell membrane fluidity.
