Abstract
This survey discusses some selected applications of Mossbauer effect t o problems of surface studies, time-dependent phenomena and relaxation s caused by lattice dynamics, and biological systems. Comparison of Mo ssbauer spectroscopy with other methods applied to study the same prob lems is presented.
