Abstract
This Paper outlines a project to study the bond characteristics of rib bed reinforcement in structural lightweight aggregate concrete, using aggregates available in the UK. Because there are different methods of determining bond, three approaches were considered in this investigat ion, but the majority of the programme used the test method developed at the BCA. The Standard BSI and RILEM methods are discussed briefly i n an appendix.
