Abstract
A vanishing coercive field H(c) has been obtained with an a.c. flowing along an amorphous Co70.3Fe4.7Si15B10 ribbon. H(c) = 0 can be obtaine d over a certain range of the drive-field frequency f and for core-cur rent (J) frequencies which are odd multiples of f. The phenomenon is e xplained in terms of the field H(p) generated by J, and the condition for the occurrence of H(c) = 0 is derived. Two possible applications a re mentioned.
