Insertion loss and acoustic reflection for surface acoustic wave (SAW)
unidirectional-interdigital transducers are expressed by scattering m
atrices with energy dissipation in a general form. In the case where c
ircuit energy dissipation could be represented as a lumped resistance
(or a conductance), loss and reflection of the transducers can be calc
ulated. Furthermore, the dissipation matrix elements expressed by elec
trical reflection are proposed. These results are verified by experime
nts.
