Electrochemical properties of a C60 film and it protected by a polyimi
de layer were investigated with cyclic voltammetry in KClO4/(CH3)2SO s
olution. The observed three reduction reactions correspond to the form
ation of the three potassium salts KxC60 (x=1,2,3). Though the concent
ration of the doped potassium x was still very little and about 0.15,
the resistivity of the KxC60 film became four orders in magnitude smal
ler than the C60 film. The obtained results revealed the high possibil
ity of the electrochemical alkali metal-dope into the C60 film even th
rough the protect layer and opened the new technique for the research
of superconductivity of a metal-doped C60.
