The series samples of YBa2Cu3Ox with varying oxygen content(6.3 < x <
7) was studied by positron lifetime spectrum. By combining the results
of positron with Tc and x-ray diffraction experiment, we get the evid
ence of positron-lifetime spectrum for the orthorhombic to tetragonal
phase transition. The results show that the phase transition is a grad
ual changing process, in which the local electronic density have a lar
ge decreased and oxygen-vacancy have a large fluctuation which introdu
ced a phase transition instability.
