Abstract
The intent of this paper is to show that the optical pulp quality, bri ghtness, luminosity and reduction of yellowing can be increased with t he addition of hydrogen peroxide in the pulper with normal operating c onditions, except for consistency. The paper demonstrates that optical pulp quality depends also on the pulper consistency. We may obtain a pulp with the desired brightness and luminosity but not the yellowing.
