Abstract
By immersing aluminium specimens in a zincate solution, zinc coatings were formed on aluminium substrates. The tensile behaviour of zinc coa ted aluminium specimens was examined in the strain rate range 0.001-0. 1 s-1; the ultimate tensile strength, the yield strength and the fract ure strain were found to increase with increasing strain rate for a co nstant thickness of zinc coating.
