Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to obtain and validate the s tandard singularly perturbed form in linear implicit systems. The meth od used is an extension of the Gerschgorin's circles that allows to lo cate the eigenvalues in the complex plane. The results are applied to the reduction of the model of a class of industrial electrical machine s : the induction machine.
