The cyclotron resonance lineshape function for electron-impurity syste
ms was derived by using the projection operator method. We utilized an
unusual approach in the perturbative expansion to obtain a function o
f the continued-fraction type, and we compared the result with some ot
her theories. By keepig the higher-order terms of the interaction in t
he energy denominators, the result could be applied to strong coherent
interaction systems with large impurity concentrations.
