Abstract
Well oriented polyacetylene was doped with cesium in the vapor phase, and studied by F.T.I.R. and Raman spestroscopy. The I.R. spectra show a metallic state for highly doped samples, with some difference with p otassium doped compounds. Raman scattering shows the occurrence of dop ing induced lines like in other alkaline doped samples with an unusual splitting of the high frequency additional line. Both results are con sistent with a 3d metallic state at high doping level.
