Abstract
A new species of Vaejovis is described from two localities along the C olorado River in western Arizona. The species is related to Vaejovis s picatus Haradon, to which it is compared. The first known male specime n of V. spicatus is briefly described, and comments on its hemispermat ophore are provided. Hemispermatophore morphology of V. spicatus sugge sts a close phylogenetic relationship of these two species with member s of the genus Serradigitus, although they lack several features consi dered diagnostic for that genus.
