Abstract
Starting from the fact, revealed by the author in recent publications, that the quantum uncertainty relations (UR) have authentic nonquantum analogs, it is shown that the Planck constant hBAR also has such an a nalog, namely, the Boltzmann constant k. Both hBAR and k are shown to be generic indicators for the stochasticity property of the physical s ystems. Depending on its connection with hBAR and k, the stochasticity can be onefold or twofold, repectively an intrinsic or extrinsic prop erty. Earlier views regarding the questions of hBAR-k similarity, comp lementarity, and compatibility are reviewed and shown to be unfounded. Finally, based on the new views on the UR and hBAR and on their nonqu antum analogs, some remarks with conceptual implications in the interp retation of quantum mechanics are noted.
