UPDATE ON THE FEMALE PROSTATE AND THE PHENOMENON OF FEMALE EJACULATION

A review of research concerning the female prostate, a specific organ of the female urogenital system, is presented. This research focuses o n clinical interest, anatomical structure, and histochemistry of the f emale prostate. Research concerning the phenomenon of female ejaculati on is reviewed in terms of findings relevant to forensic medicine and sexuality. Further systematic research is needed to determine if the f emale prostate, the Grafenberg spot, and female ejaculation are functi onally connected.
