Abstract
In addition to previously reported cucurbitacins B, 1, and D, 2, cucur bitacin E, 3, and 1, 4, aglycones and their glucosides 2-O-beta-glucop yranosyl-cucurbitacin E, 5, and 2-O-beta-glucopyranosyl-cucurbitacin 1 , 6, were isolated and identified as constituents of Cucurbita andrean a on the basis of MS, FD-MS, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Also, 2-O-beta-glucopyranosyl-cucurbitacin B, 7, cucurbitacin B glucoside wa s isolated and identified.
