Abstract
Condensation of sodium cyanate with haloalkyl(meth)acrylates under app ropriate phase transfer catalytic conditions led to the selective form ation of monomers containing isocyanate, carbamate, urea or isocyanura te group. The selectivity of these new syntheses of such derivatives d epends on the temperature and the water content of the reaction medium .
