Abstract
The thermal performance of a room with two indirect evaporative coolin g systems (operating independently and jointly) is analysed. The two e vaporative systems considered are a water-film roof evaporative coolin g system, and an underground water storage tank beneath the floor of t he room. The water in the tank is evaporatively cooled through a suita ble aeration system. The performance of the room is analysed in the ho t-dry climate of Jodhpur and the composite climate of Delhi. It is fou nd that the underground water storage system is marginally better than the roof evaporative cooling system for the Jodhpur and Delhi climate s. A detailed parametric performance analysis of the room has also bee n carried out.
