Abstract
The reaction (C-11, N-13) has been studied at 50 MeV/u on a set of nuc lear targets including C-12, Ca-40, Ni-58, Ni-60, Zr-90, Sn-120 and Pb -208. Excitation of DELTAT(z) = 1 giant dipole resonance has been obse rved in light nuclei (A less-than-or-equal-to 60) and corresponding an gular distribution have been measured. A broad structure is observed a t excitation energy above the GDR in nuclei with A greater-than-or-equ al-to 60. Angular-distribution measurements of elastic-scattering cros s sections are also reported on C-12 and Ni-58, as well as excitation of low-lying states in B-12. Microscopic DWBA analysis of the results is presented. Some results on the (C-13, B-13) reaction are also prese nted.
