Abstract
A new model of the charge carrier photogeneration including energy tra pping in excimer-forming sites has been proposed for amorphous and cry stalline poly(N-vinylcarbazole). The Onsager model with Gaussian distr ibution of electron-hole pairs represents a suitable description of th e photogeneration process in plasma-polymerized poly(N-vinylcarbazole) and in poly(N-(2-propinyl)carbazole).
