Abstract
Cell wall of Agromyces cerinus subsp. nitratus contains ribitolteichoi c acids, previously unknown in prokaryotic cells. The following struct ure of the repeating unit of the chain was proposed: [GRAPHICS] The st ructure of the polymer was elucidated by NMR spectroscopy and confirme d by chemical analysis.
