Abstract
The combination of cooperative learning with simple multimedia present ations offers significant advantages for chemistry teaching. Videotape s, videodiscs, and computer simulations are a natural extension of the lecture demonstrations traditionally used for chemistry instruction. Cooperative learning produces active student participation and inquiry learning. The results obtained thus far suggest that this combination of methods can enhance student involvement and performance.
