Abstract
It is pointed out that the mechanism of collective ion acceleration by means of electron beams may be realized in solar flares. It is also s hown that this mechanism provides the following in agreement with the observational data: (1) proton acceleration up to GeV energies in time s 10(-1)-10(-2) s, (2) the similarity of the proton and electron spect rum spectra and the existence of the scaling law that relates the numb er of the accelerated protons and electron, (3) nuclei acceleration an d identity of their spectra per nucleon.
