Abstract
Spectroscopic and lasing properties of CNGG-TM3+ crystals are investig ated. The efficiency of the cross relaxation process has been determin ed through Tm3+ luminescence decay curves. Stimulated emission at the wavelength of 2.02 mum has been obtained on the F-3(4) --> H-3(6) tran sition in CNGG Tm3+ at room temperature, the pulse generation energy b eing 3.3 J.
