Abstract
This paper presents a new identification approach to three-phase power system modeling and model reduction taking power system network as mu lti-input, multi-output (MIMO) processes. The model estimate can be ob tained in discrete-time input-output form, discrete- or continuous-tim e state-space variable form, or frequency-domain impedance transfer fu nction matrix form. An algorithm for determining the model structure o f this MIMO process is described. The effect of measurement noise on t he approach is also discussed. This approach has been applied on a sam ple system and simulation results are also presented in this paper.
