Metastatic disease to the optic nerve is uncommon (1-8). Optic nerve i
nvolvement has been described as an extension from choroidal, retinal,
orbital, or central nervous system metastatic foci. Isolated optic ne
rve metastatic disease is extremely rare. We present the case of an is
olated circumscribed metastatic lesion to the retrobulbar portion of t
he optic nerve detected radiographically.
