The somatotropic hormone-(STH)-genotypes of Al-bulls of the Austrian F leckvieh and Braunvieh breed were determined using a PCR/RFLP-analysis . TheA-allele gene frequency in the Fleckvieh breed was 0.31, in the B raunvieh breed 0.06, thus revealing clearcut breed-specific difference s.
