Abstract
A simple, fast and convenient cryogenic method is described for avoidi ng post-treatment oxidation and preserving the sample chemistry of iro n during transfer from aqueous solution to ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) surf ace analysis instrumentation. It is recommended that others try this m ethod and report on its wider applicability.
