Abstract
Automation in hematological cytology can identify blood cells in suspe nsion by new parameters : electrical field variations, light intensity modifications absorbtion or diffraction by one or two lasers, fluores cence intensity, cytochemical reactions or specific lysis. The new tec hnology change the strategy of hematological laboratories. Automation realizes perfectly the white blood cell differential and modifies hema tological language with respect to anemia and white blood cells diseas es.
