Abstract
A theoretical study of electrochemical electron transfer (ECET) using the diffusion-reaction equation approach is presented. The rate expres sion for the transfer of an electron from an ion in solution to the me tal electrode is derived. The concept of adiabaticity as applied to EC ET is looked into in the light of this approach.
