Abstract
Cyclic enones were obtained from the reactions of beta-keto esters wit h acyclic alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones by using lithium chloride in hexamethylphosphoramide. The products were brought about via the Micha el addition, decarboxylation, and the aldol condensation.
