Cytochrome c was found to undergo electron transfer reactions at a gol
d electrode modified with a Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer of eicosane-1-
ol/dioleoyl-L-alpha-phosphatidylcholine (molar ratio, 1/20). The stabi
lity of the monolayer and the adsorption behavior of cytochrome c to t
he monolayer was also examined.
