Various carboxanilides are prepared in excellent yields from nearly eq
uimolar amounts of silyl carboxylates and the coffesponding weakly nuc
leophilic anilines under mild conditions by using p-trifluoromethylben
zoic anhydride and a catalytic amount of active titanium(IV) salt.
