ESTIMATION OF THE SPATIAL-DISTRIBUTION OF ANIMALS AS A FUNCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS, BASED ON DATA FROM AEROSPACE AND GROUND OBSERVATIONS

The paper describes a way of obtaining a picture of the spatial distri bution of animals as a function of the regional distribution of the pa rameters of the habitat, based on space processing of aerospace and gr ound measurements and on the results of aerospace tracking. Problems a re formulated and software to solve them is implemented. Based on samp le data and known distributions of the parameters of the habitat it is possible to analyse the spatial distribution of animals. Thus, we may obtain more precise estimates of their density and numbers, the natur e of the land use in the region and migration routes; we may also esti mate the quality of biotopes and implement ecological solutions.
