Efficiency and conjugation fidelity for the phase conjugate mirror bas
ed on InAs placed into a CO2-laser cavity are investigated experimenta
lly. An efficiency of approximately 200% with conjugation fidelity of
approximately 60% is obtained for the signal of the pump waves leaving
the laser cavity. For the signal from an independent CO2-laser the ef
ficiency is approximately 500%, what is close to the achievable maximu
m in InAs at 10,6 mum. The nature of the efficiencies difference and f
eatures of efficiency dynamics during the laser pulse are investigated
